  1. I may have missed it (been away for a couple of days) but what tubes did you get?

  2. I have the Kenko (Tamron) 12/20/36 mm kit, Burst. I have had it a while, just haven't used it much lately.

  5. Deciding whether that extra bit of aperture is worth paying for can be tricky. Just bear in mind that an f/1.4 lens is only half a stop faster than an f/1.7.

Back in my film camera days, a 50mm f/1.7 was the fastest I had: the trouble is that it was very cheap (the one supplied with the camera) and it was pretty crappy quality. Hopefully you’ll get better results with yours than I did with mine!

  6. It can make a lot of difference, Simon. It allowed me to shoot with a faster shutter speed, which will be handy for low light. It is also of much better construction; my other 50mm is mostly plastic, including the mount. This one tightens up very nicely. Four times the price, but worth it.
