Keds don't need shoe polish

But this one needs a mate, eh?

One has to wonder: how does one lose a shoe, and what the hell is with wearing shoes like that in winter?

This former store is on the corner of a street that is not quite straight. It has been hit on its opposite wall several times. Finally the city installed a stop sign on an island to at least slow folks down :-)

I am so ready for winter to be over. We might get another blast tonight/tomorrow via snow squalls. Oh, goodie.

  5. Doug, as God is my witness, my daughter managed to lose ONE of a pair of shoes between the bottom of the staircase and the top of the staircase when she was about 10 or 11. it violates all kinds of laws of physics, but i swear it is true.

  6. Kids are able to violate the laws of physics all the time, Mary. As a mom and former scientist, you should know that :-)

  11. Mary Kitt---my daughters do that all the time. Uncanny.

Doug---I've formed a Winter law. That is, sidewalks and driveway clearance, or lack of, are directly proportional to the number of days we've endured Winter thus far. There seems to be a general "screw it" attitude in the air.

  12. Hi, Mary Jo. Good to see you around again! I have you added to my list.

Thanks, Dorrie. We're supposed to get milder temps and rain on Monday-Tuesday, and -15C for Wednesday. Should be a barrel of fun :-)

I think F-B nailed it, S D. Careful with that apple cider.

The city has said "screw it" regarding a number of our streets, jj. I think they will wait until next week's rain dissolves it.
