Time to go out and do a few errands before starting to get ready for the Toucan. I have not decided if I will walk or drive. I am kinda used to walking, but while Wifey is away, a car is useful :-)

  1. Cool pictures, Doug! I love iceskating! It's been decades since I've skated, though.

I learned to skate by playing "crack the whip!" out on Long Lake. It was skate or fall, lol.

    I never fell once! :)

Hope you are having a great weekend!

  4. I like the photo where it looks like two heads in one jacket. *grinning* Awesome!

I am not coordinated enough to ice-skate. *laughing again* I spend way too much time on my bottom. *giggle* Very undignified! :oD

  5. Glad I'm not the only one that saw the two heads in one jacket!! I can remain upright on iceskates as long as I don't move :)

  6. Well, his sweater ain't bad, Mary :-)

The only reason I posted that photo, Gina :-) I am also very undignified on skates.

SD, as long as I can stay upright, at least I can be towed
    :-)

  7. well, I grew up skating. And just went the other day, indoors. Still got it. It must have been 10 years since I skated, but it comes right back. Your pic makes me want to go out for a great meal.

If you show up on my doorstep, I promise you will be taken out for a great meal.

  10. Skating isn't too big in this part of the world!
We could do with some chilly weather though.

  11. The Guy smiling at you in the second pic is kinda creepy! Lol.

We have an outdoor ice skating trail that is really awesome!! Now if I could only skate like I used to, or had medical insurance. Lol.

  12. Kate, I am the only one in a family of six kids that could't skate :-)

Lerm, we have lots of extra chilly in the forecast. Come get some!

M, he is, isn't he? In Ottawa, about two hours away, is the world's longest skating rink; a frozen canal where all kinds of winter stuff goes on.
